All I Want For Christmas Is An Alpha by Moni Boyce.
The plan was to make her ex jealous.
It’s the only option really. There’s no way Macy could not show up. For two reasons, it’s her friend’s wedding and it’s Christmas.
So, jealousy it is.
With the help of her hot alpha, best friend, Cooper, showing up with man candy on her arm, will get the job done.
It’s perfect.
She gets to be part of such a magical event and avoid facing her prick of a past alone, at the same time.
Only she doesn’t know that Cooper’s feelings have gone from friendly to downright sinful. And he’s determined to use the opportunity of posing as her fake boyfriend to his advantage.
They belong together, and by the end of this, he’ll make sure she knows it.

“Coop, thanks so much again, for agreeing to do this for me.”
She wasn’t getting off that easy.
“Isn’t there one thing you’re forgetting?”
Macy looked back down at the yellow legal pad in her hands and flipped through the few pages of her meticulous hand-written notes. “I don’t think so.”
“Don’t we need to see if we have chemistry?” I stared at her.
“How would we measure that?” She looked up at me in confusion.
“A kiss. I think we need to practice. No one’s going to believe we’re a couple if we don’t kiss.”
“I really don’t think that’s necessary.” Macy tried to edge away. “Remember, one of the rules is no heavy PDA.”
I caught her wrist, and our gazes met and held. “At some point over the course of the week, we may have to kiss. You want this to be believable right?”
She nodded.
“Then kiss me.”
Macy stood there suddenly looking like an inexperienced teenage girl.
I stepped closer and cupped her face in my hands. When she shut her eyes, I couldn’t help staring at her for a few seconds. I pressed my lips against hers. Almost instantly, her soft, plump lips parted. My tongue swept inside the warm cave of her mouth. I closed my eyes and savored the taste of her. My tongue explored every nook and cranny. The taste of chocolate was on her tongue. The moment I deepened the kiss, she pulled away.
Macy wouldn’t meet my eyes. She panted for a moment, trying to regain her breath.
“Good practice.” I licked my lower lip.
She simply nodded.
“I should be going.” I grabbed my coat off the dining room chair. “You should get some sleep. I’ll see you in a few days.”
It was clear she was still trying to process the kiss. I pulled her into my body and kissed her forehead. “Bye.”
I walked out the door without looking back. She didn’t have to say anything. I knew she was affected by our kiss. On the walk to my car, I knew one thing for certain. After that kiss, I wanted Macy even more.
