Good morning diverse romance readers! This week, we caught up with author L. Loren to ask her a few questions about her hot novel, Stormy’s All-Star Weekend. Enjoy this short interview!
Interview question #1: Describe what your hero and heroine would consider the perfect date night.
Stormy’s dream date would include dinner, dancing and a walk on the beach. Sully would prefer a nice candlelight dinner on a yacht followed by a marathon of hot sex in the cabin below.
Interview question #2: What does your hero love about your heroine and what does your heroine love about your hero?
Stormy loves that she can be her clumsy fun-loving self around Sully without judgement. Sully loves that a Stormy makes him laugh and appreciates him for being who he is, not what he is – a famous former pro hockey player.
Interview question #3: For your hero and heroine, was it love at first sight or lust at first sight?
Stormy thought Sully was attractive, but it took a minute to grow the love. (About a weekend) for Sully it was hate at first sight. She spilled nachos on the man’s head for goodness sake.
Sports Zone producer, Sharon Rave was in a romantic slump. Stood-up by her now former fiancé on Valentine’s Day last year, caused her to shut down. When her boss and good friend gifted her VIP access to all of the hot events at NBA All-Star Weekend, she decided to get back into the game. Using her alter ego, Stormy she headed to LA for a little fun in the sheets.
Sullivan “Sully” Mann was a former professional hockey player on vacay at All-Star Weekend. He was looking for a hot chick to satisfy his cravings, but ended up being assaulted by a clumsy woman named Stormy, who spilled nachos on his head. Little did he know, this same woman would spark a fire I his loins and his heart, giving him the happy ending he desired.
Find out how things heat up between this unlikely pair in Stormy’s All-Star Weekend.

“Sharon, you have been working your tail off for me, and I have something for you. You know the NBA All-Star Weekend starts officially tomorrow, and I just got my hands on some last minute VIP passes to all of the hot events and games. Girl, pack your bags because you are headed to LA!”
I must have been hallucinating because I thought my boss just handed me my dream trip on a silver platter served with a side of hunky pro ballers. I looked at her eyes to see if she was clowning me, but she was grinning like a Cheshire cat, and she had a package in her hand that looked like official NBA business. She offered the package to me, but my hands were shaking too much to take the envelope from her.
“Please don’t play with me. You know I have always wanted to attend All-Star Weekend.”
“That’s why I’m sending you. Listen, honey, you have VIP access to everything! You get to rub elbows with all of the A-list stars at the Yacht Bash. You have access to one of the sky boxes. You even get passes to all of the parties. This weekend you will be living the luxurious life, just like a celebrity. Bow down, bitch!”
“OMG! I can’t believe this! Why me?”
“Girl, we have grown close over the years, and I watched your sad sack tail moping around here last Valentine’s Day. That bastard did you dirty! Well, this year I decided you will not be moping around this office looking like you lost your best friend.”
“Thank you so much! This is so amazing.” I was just about to break into my happy dance when she interrupted me.
“Don’t thank me just yet. There’s a couple of catches. First, you are required to do a vlog of your experiences, and go Live during some of the parties and activities.”
I knew it was too good to be true. Tangy knew I was too shy to do live feeds. My job at Sports Zone was to find the stories and produce them, not be the on air talent. I was much more comfortable behind the scenes.
“I don’t know about that. You know I get shy in front of the camera.” She shook her head and pursed her lip like she always did when she was about to tell me something I didn’t want to hear.
“Girl, you are a great producer, but I want to see how versatile you can be. Besides, I had to find a way to fund this trip. This is the only way I could think of to charge this to the company. You’ll be fine, I promise. You just need to get comfortable talking about sports into your phone. It’s not like there will be a camera man or anyone. Just think of it as a conversation with a million of your best friends.”
“Alright, if you think I can do it, I will try. You said there were two conditions. Tell me the second one before I change my mind and high tail it out of here.” Tangy chuckled, and then shocked me with her second condition.
“The second catch is for you to get laid! I know it’s been a while, and that thing needs some dusting off. I want you to find one of those fine ass celebrities, and fuck the shit out of him! Get you one of those ball players, no less than six feet tall and climb that fucker, sit on his face, then ride his lap until the wheels fall off. When you come back to work on Monday, you shouldn’t be able to walk properly.”
My mouth fell open in shock. Tangy and I were cool, but she had never talked like that to me. I had overheard her talking to her girlfriends a time or two, and she was a little rowdy, but this took the cake. I didn’t know if I should laugh, or take her seriously. By the look in her eye she meant every word of it.
“Here, take this envelope with your itinerary and all of the information you need. I even got you a little something to help you conquer that baller. Don’t open this until you’re at the hotel.”
She handed me a crimson colored gift bag with the words Fredrick’s of Hollywood sprawled across it. She was not playing! I shook my head as I hugged her. Screaming thank you over and over, I ran out of the door to go home and pack my bags. I was off to LA where there were hunky professional ball players over six feet tall waiting for me to climb and mount.
