Author Interview, Romance

Q & A with author C.L. Donley

This week, we caught up with author C.L. Donley to ask her a few questions about her latest release, Rich Little Poor Girl. Enjoy!

Interview question #1: Describe what your hero and heroine would consider the perfect date night.

Probably dinner in one of the finest restaurants in the city. New York, of course. And then ice cream.

Interview question #2: What does your hero love about your heroine and what does your heroine love about your hero?

Ben loves Cynthia because there’s nothing not to love about her. They meet and have a brief fling in their early 20’s, so he always sees her through the lens of that intense relationship. Cynthia loves that Ben is handsome and compassionate. He’s both dreamy and down to earth.

Interview question #3: For your hero and heroine, was it love at first sight or lust at first sight?

Definitely love.

Rich Little Poor Girl: An Interracial Second Chance Romance
by C.L. Donley.

A “semi-sweet” romance.

Renown local designer Cynthia Gordon is a woman of humble beginnings– starting out as a cafeteria worker at The Dvorak Group, a prestigious investment banking firm in the heart of Wall Street run by Solomon Dvorak. When she steals the heart of the CEO’s handsome son and heir apparent Ben Dvorak, Solomon comes up with a plan to keep the girl from de-railing his plans for his son.

Ten years later, Cynthia Gordon returns to settle the score, without getting her heart involved. Now that Ben is poised to take over the company after his father’s illness, Ben is determined to find out what really happened all those years ago– and ultimately how to win her back.
