This week, we caught up with author Tucora Monique to ask her a few questions about her latest release, Nine Floors Up. Enjoy!
Interview question #1: Describe what your hero and heroine would consider the perfect date night.
A perfect date for Grimace and Daphne would be anything that included, music, art and sex!
Interview question #2: What does your hero love about your heroine and what does your heroine love about your hero?
Grimace loves Daphne’s loyalty, and the innocence that is a part of her energy. Daphne loves and craves Grimace’s tough skin and resolve even when things seem unhinged. Together they create a balance I’m hoping readers will fall in love with.
Interview question #3: For your hero and heroine, was it love at first sight or lust at first sight?
Honestly, for Grimace it may have been both but for Daphne, it would be the latter of the two.
Never requiring gold to feel glitter, hands-on maintenance woman Daphne Sears has always been easy to please. Most times, allowing her conscience to blurt ill but her mouth to utter pleasantries. But after her routine is interrupted and warped into a pool of uncertainties, the unaware beauty is forced to step away from her contentment and leap into a scoop with minimal filters, bigger windows, and a lack of privacy. Funny thing is, Daphne forgets one thing during her oblivious act of voyeurism—if you can see him, he can see you watching.
Tennessee native Grimace Lexer has been gliding through life for nearly three years, handing out toothpick samples of his man parts as a coping mechanism for his heartache. Refusing to place himself on the line again after initial ramifications of his compromises backfired, the chauvinistic bounty hunter harps on the notion that relationships should be earned… until the wandering eyes of his cinnamon-colored neighbor becomes a beckoning for the lonely man, and her naivety becomes his mission to break.
But what happens when the need for time challenges the worth of the gamble?
Can these abandoned souls find a balance so high up in the stars, or will the sun rise before they’re able to meet in the middle?
